Adult admission is 1,200 yen. It was 600 yen until April 2025, which is why so many guides still quote the wrong number. If you read a blog written before 2025 and budgeted 600, that is where the discrepancy comes from.

One thing the 1,200 yen does not cover: Nishinomaru Garden is a separately ticketed enclosure inside the grounds, 200 yen on top, and it is closed on Mondays while the tower is open daily.
If you already hold an Osaka Amazing Pass, castle admission is included — you do not buy a ticket at all. If you are visiting several paid attractions in a day, work out the pass maths before buying single tickets here, because the castle alone is rarely the thing that justifies it, and several attractions together often are.
